Laine went under contract on March 16, 2020 -- just as the world was shutting down.

After she closed in April, the real work began. Over the course of about six weeks, her contractor re-finished the floors and cabinets, painted everything, replaced the counters, and completely gutted the primary bathroom.

Once the project was finished, it was the perfect space for Laine and her roommate to spread out during the remainder of the pandemic.

We came cross a new construction home right in our neighborhood that had more space than our condo, and it was just a few blocks from the 606. We loved the modern design of the home, and most importantly, the location!

I loved the overall vibe of the area. There are wide, tree-lined, quiet streets with neighborhood bars and restaurants throughout. And the livelier Division and Chicago corridors are also nearby—an easy walk.
